My easy homemade ranch dressing from scratch is the perfect way to dress a salad, or be a dipping sauce for your favorite snacks, veggies or wings.
Making your own sauces and dressings is always the best route. They taste so much better, and you can adjust the herbs, spices, and ingredients exactly to your taste buds’ preferences.
This easy homemade ranch dressing is no different. It’s totally delicious and customize-able at the same time. Grab your favorite herb, mine is dill and a few other ingredients and the dressing is done in minutes. If you love garlic as much as I do, try adding a few extra cloves like I did. The flavor will get more intense the longer it sits.
Everything simply goes in a mason jar and gets blended up with a immersion blender (and if you know me, this is my favorite kind of recipe!). You can also use a small food processor, but I prefer my immersion blender and a mason jar. This way I only have to clean one thing and I can store it right in the jar too after. Easy clean up is always a plus in my book.
Dip some fresh cut up veggies into this jar of goodness.
I bet these would also be so good with some saucy hot wings. You can sub the dressing in this cobb salad I made here and it would be fantastic with that too. You can grab the homemade Whole30 mayo recipe on this post as well if you want to try it out.
I had so much fun creating this simple ranch dressing on Instagram Live last night. If you are ever on Instagram, give me a follow for fun cooking episodes like that. It’s fun to test out the recipe and get your feedback
Since I’ve been off on a 5.5 week vacation visiting family back East, I’ve missed cooking, styling and shooting. But, in a way it’s been nice to unplug and be present with my family. While I was there, my mom made her own version of ranch dressing and I thought to myself, I should try making my own too when I get home. For some reason I’ve never made it myself before. What have I been waiting for? It’s heavenly. The longer it sits, the more garlicky it gets.
So here we are enjoying this delicious and such easy homemade ranch dressing. I can’t wait to also share the recipe for a yummy radicchio salad that Shey and I tried this past weekend while visiting McMinnville, OR for a friends wedding. The salad uses this ranch dressing, which so good. Good enough that I had to go home and recreate it myself.
Let’s get this dipping or drizzling party started, shall we? Grab your carrot sticks, cucumbers, bell peppers, tomatoes, broccoli and lets go dipping.
