Before I tried this method of cooking the perfect everyday baked chicken breast, for the longest time, I didn’t eat it because it was dry, bland and just not my thing. This way of cooking it makes for a juicy and flavorful chicken. I promise you won’t want to cook it any other way after you try this.
So easy and quick to make. Perfect for meal prep. The everyday baked chicken breast is also Whole30, Keto and Paleo compliant. Only 3 ingredients and 35 minutes to the perfect everyday baked chicken breast.
This chicken is so good for any chicken recipe, but also oh-so-yummy just to eat plain. My family went crazy over this. Cut it up and create the perfect chicken salad by adding some chopped herbs, pickles, fresh red peppers and my Whole30 homemade mayo, add to lettuce cups and top with my pickled onions and lunch or dinner is complete. Or use it in my delicious cobb salad recipe.
My secret flavor enhancer for this everyday baked chicken breast are three things : Bone in and skin on chicken breast, Lucini Olive oil and Trader Joes Onion Salt. That’s it. That’s the ingredients list. And if you don’t eat the skin, discard it after you bake it, it keeps the chicken juicy along with the bone.
I mean, it’s basically not a recipe, but it’s a simple recipe for you to try.
If you are really good at meal prepping, not me, I’m not. But I always have a few breasts I throw in on Sunday while I cook other things. Because you never know when you will need a super quick meal and you don’t have a lot of time to prep it. Slice the chicken into thin layers and make a sandwich. Top it off with my homemade romesco sauce for extra flavor and a side of baked or grilled veggies and you’re golden.
So let’s get cooking. I would love to have you try this chicken and tell me in comments what you think when you do. It’s so good.
The perfect juicy and flavorful everyday baked chicken breast for any recipe.
- 2 large chicken breast, bone and skin on

Preheat oven to 375F. Line baking sheet with foil.
Rinse and dry your chicken breast with paper towel. Add to the baking sheet.
Drizzle olive oil on top and bottom of chicken breast, rub it so it's coated well. Then sprinkle on the onion salt and rub lightly so it's all covered.
Bake for 35 minutes for smaller breast and 40 minutes for larger ones. If you want extra crispy skin, turn the heat up to 425F and leave in for 5 more minutes. Let the chicken rest for about 5 minutes and then slice or remove off the bone. Adjust seasoning with more salt if needed after cooked. Enjoy.
